A Massive thank you to the Tesco / Border fundraiser where Richard McAllister, Manager Tesco Lanark and his pal Rab walked the Speyside Way in March 2017. They were joined on the last day by employees, friends and young Poppy with her family to enjoy a days walk.
Tesco Lanark linked forces with Border biscuits and the event raised an amazing £8173.
What an incredible effort by the raft of people involved. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE.

Today we visited Rspb Loch Garten and had an input on the life of Ospreys and watched the Ospreys who are currently sitting on their eggs at this site.
A relaxing afternoon for the group eating cake and enjoying Aviemore whilst Gordon, Billy and Dougie went for a quick 8 mile cycle to the Green Lochan!
The day was finished by playing in the park at Badaguish.
The youngsters have been absolutely fabulous, are well settled and enjoying every minute. Thank you to the staff who are providing an incredible level of care.

A sunny warm day in Glenmore area gave young Dan, Carla, Dillon and Kirsty a day of fun and fresh air. We started with a walk in the Loch Morlich area which ended by lying in the sun on the sand by the loch then playing in the park.
We then ventured up into the Cairngorm via the Cairngorm Mountain Railway and experienced being in a mountain environment.
A flying visit to check out accommodation for future trips at Glenmore Lodge saw us return for a fine home cooked diner.
In true form .... when we arrived yesterday the youngsters took a while to settle due to excitement ..... today at dinner eyes were heavy and all the fresh air made them very hungry and almost falling asleep at diner.
Well done to all the care staff (teachers) for their excellent care of this amazing team.
I'd say the photos say it all!!

Today we embarked on another Paradventures residential Adventure Trip to Aviemore with a group from Lanark Grammar School ASN pupils. We had a leisurely drive up with all the kit in the trailer towed by an incredible brand new Land Rover Discovery HSE Lux supplied by our supporters Taggarts Land Rover Glasgow. The youngsters were transported in an Allied Vehicles Group minibus driven by Dougie from KC Coaches.
The youngsters are getting a good nights rest before a full day of activities tomorrow .... (Watch this page for photos of the trip).
This trip has been made possible by a number of incredible donations and funding opportunities by: Tesco Lanark and Border Biscuits ... Richard and Tam's Speyside Way, @BAM Construction Glasgow, Lanark & Carluke Choral Union Mr and Mrs Elder.
Without this level of support these trips would not be possible so a MASSIVE THANK YOU everyone for making it all possible.

Paradventures haven't met Amanda and Chris yet, a great big thank you to them for embarking on this journey.

Sounds like good training to help take Poppy and her team to the top of a mountain!

Their story is........

Amanda & Chris Allum are lifelong friends of lynzi, mum to Poppy and as well as supporting lynzi they are taking part in a gruelling challenge to support Poppy.
Amanda doing a Half Marathon and Chris a Tough Mudder Half Marathon!!

Poppy has such spirit and has faced unbelievable challenges in her short little life but she faces everything with a beautiful smile and immense determination.
With her mum at her back pushing her on she will go far in life and with the help of the Allum's amazing fundraising efforts we hope that poppy will continue to enjoy being included in many outdoor adventures.

A huge thank you Lynzi who is walking the Kilt walk to raise funds for Paradventures to take Poppy and Josh on adventures. Hope the blisters behave themselves.
The question is .... what adventure will they decide on next?
Poppy's story is .......

Lynzi's daughter Poppy was born 13 weeks prematurely and as a result has cerebral palsy and is deaf.
Drs and specialists predicated a limited and bleak outlook for her life.

But against all the odds Poppy has proved that with determination, hard work and a support network who believes in you anything is possible.

Poppy continues to exceed expectations and with the support of Paradventures she enjoys being included in many outdoor activities and lynzi is doing the Glasgow kiltwalk to raise funds

Last year two friends Dave and Sophie Inman, who were in Rotaract Edinburgh, and who helped at Peak 2 Peak moved to London to work and get married. As part of their wedding gift list they asked for donations to Paradventures. This raised an amazing £300. A MASSIVE thank you to you both for this very kind thought. We all wish you health and happiness and look forward to you joining us in the future at an event.

Wednesday say the #Tescolanarkcommunity team, #Borderbiscuit, Poppy and family arrive in Aviemore with Dougie from #KCCoaches to joint Richard, Manager, Tesco, Lanark and his pal Rab who are completing the #SpeysideWay. We briefed and enjoyed a meal within #SYHAAviemore. Some of the group went to #CairngormBrewery for a complimentary tour by our pal Bruce Cook who charmed them with his stories.
Thursday, early rise and with Poppy in the All Terrain wheelchair we completed the last section of the #SpeysideWay from Nethy Bridge to Aviemore along the Calledonian Pine lined path. The weather was kind to us, despite the awful weather forecast, everyone enjoyed a great day with views of the #CairngormMountains.
A MASSIVE thank you to Richard and Rab who once again are fundraising for #Paradventures by giving up their time and embarking on this challenge. Also thank you to everyone who has helped, taken part and are currently fundraising for their commitment and efforts.
